On a typical foggy San Francisco school day, Daisy was building her model for the Architectural Foundation San Francisco Architectural Design Competition for High School students. Since placing second in the Best Model category, she decided to continue her passion for architecture. Although the classes were cut the following school year, she applied to a scholarship that fully-funded the school fees for an intensive 6-week experience in architecture for high school students at Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
Daisy's goal as a designer is to create meaningful experiences for our future – with considerations of different systems, conditions, and our planet. What separates Daisy from other designers is her drive, passion, and approach. She is able to adapt quickly to change. She is able to take her existing knowledge of certain functions and use that process to adapt to new conditions.
She recently completed a study abroad class, studying 19th Century European Art History in Paris. She has received the Student Design Award twice at IIDA's MERGE event in Sacramento, California during 2018 and 2019.
